Nestled in the heart of the city, Ka Yee Court redefines compact residential living through a design that prioritizes versatility, warmth, and lifestyle integration. Tailored for a modern homeowner with a love for entertaining and a loyal canine companion, this project transforms a modest urban unit into a multi-functional, pet-accommodating retreat.

One of the key highlights of this residence is the expansive balcony, thoughtfully crafted to be both practical and inviting. Recognising the owner's need for a dog-friendly outdoor space, the design incorporates durable wooden flooring that is easy to maintain while preserving a natural, serene atmosphere. The selection of matching wooden outdoor furniture reinforces this cohesive aesthetic, creating a resort-like ambiance for everyday living. A bespoke area was also planned to store barbecue equipment, allowing the owners to host gatherings effortlessly while enjoying an uninterrupted connection with the outdoors.

Inside the home, spatial planning was critical to optimise the limited footprint. The kitchen and living room are connected through a semi-open concept, creating a sense of spaciousness without compromising on functionality. The kitchen features a bar-style countertop, encouraging casual interactions and enhancing the hosting experience. Red brick detailing provides a warm, rustic accent, subtly defining the kitchen zone while adding a layer of character.

In the living area, every element serves a dual purpose. A window-side ledge transforms into a work desk during the day and a cosy nook when the windows are closed, offering flexibility for both productivity and rest. Discreetly tucked behind the main living space is a compact yet efficient closet room, fulfilling the homeowner’s storage needs without interrupting the clean, open lines of the layout.
